In your own words explain the characteristics of the term library 2.0

1-Library 2.0: The generally defined model for a modernized form of library services that allows a growth within in the library world. These provide their services are distributed to the user. The main focus is user-centered change and corporate in the development of content and community. The theory of Library 2.0 obtains from that Business 2.0 and Web 2.0 and pursue some of the same underlying philosophies. Also, Library supply online services suck as OPAC systems and boosted the flow of information from the user back to the library.

2-Library 2.0: Ken Chad and Paul Miller (2005) come up with that Library 2.0 is a concept of a very separate library service that system in relation to the expectations of today. And library users. in vision, the library provides information available whenever the users require it.

Library changed a new model. In according to Chad and Miller have four principles these are:

a) The Library is everywhere

The libraries that search to have a certain habitation in their communities, from the public library to academic institutions. Exceed via technology, further, the bricks of the libraries to users at home or students in common areas should be the goal of every organization.

b) The Library has no barriers

What barriers are we provide that prevent our users from getting the information they need? Are we closing resources and systems within our building? Ensure that user could get to our stuff no matter

where they locate and build the systems easy to get to.

Also, Public libraries there is other barriers. Such as No cell phones, no IM on public PCs, No talking and No working together on the workstations.
